Our Story

Refuge Community Church was birthed from a vision to reach the Carthage and surrounding communities for Jesus. Twenty-two people began to gather and dream about how God would want them to love and serve their community and the world.

The goal: To know Jesus and make Him known. Refuge is set to launch on December 3, 2023!

Our faith is represented best in our communities when we live in obedience to God. Daily surrender opens up opportunities for personal growth and evangelism. As the body of believers at Refuge embraces our mission, we believe God will grant us the ability to reach the nations with a message of hope and love found in Jesus.

We go in the direction that Jesus leads us. While it is appropriate to make plans, we refuse to walk where our leader is not in front of us. With this mindset, we believe that God will open the doors of ministry in our community and around the world. Where are we headed? Wherever Jesus leads us.
