Sometimes, the hardest part is showing up. Whether you have never attended church or you've never missed a church service in your life, you are welcome at Refuge Community Church! Following Jesus is the single most important decision you can ever make. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who paid the debt for our sins, and in Him, you can find forgiveness and a new life. He died for our sins and all who believe in and receive Him as their Savior and Lord are declared justified by God through His death and resurrection. Baptism is an outward expression of the faith and commitment you have made to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and follow Him. Baptism is also typically the first sermon you'll ever preach. It doesn't require words, just the obedience of following Jesus as the Church comes alongside to cheer you on in support. We believe that joining the local church and being active in its ministry is an integral part of your spiritual growth as a Christian. When you are part of the local church you are supported and encouraged in your faith, as well as provided with opportunities to serve others. Mark 10:45 says, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” As Christians, we are called to follow Jesus' example in all areas of our lives, including service. At Refuge, Service is part of our DNA. We are called to serve not only within the church but throughout our community and beyond!
